The Fairfax County police officer, Tyler Timberlake, faces three different charges of assault and beatings on an incident involving a man’s deformation and arrest.

On Saturday, authorities said the camera’s body footage released by the department showed that the officer violated the use of force policies.

Steve T. Descano, attorney for the Commonwealth of Fairfax County, Timberlake, a veteran of the force for eight years, faces a prison sentence of up to 36 months.

Colonel Edwin C. Rossler Jr., Fairfax County Police Chief, said that the unidentified victim in the video was treated at a local hospital and released, adding that he had personally contacted the victim and his mother “to express [his] Disgust from [his] Unacceptable tax actions of the officer and confirmed that their jurisdiction will serve. “

Rossler said Timberlake was relieved of his duty and law enforcement authority in accordance with Fairfax County employee regulations. According to Rosler, all other officers on the site have been excused from work pending the results of criminal and administrative investigations.

CNN’s attempts to reach Timberlake were not immediately successful.

Descano described the camera’s body video as “disturbing.” He said, “I want our community to know that we are seeking accusations that are in line with the current law, backed by the evidence that we have presented with it.”

The body camera video was released by President Roehsler, who said that the video shows Officer Timberlake committing “criminal acts, violating the right of our office, and ignoring the sanctity of human life. The video undermines public confidence in police officers, not only in Fairfax County, but around the world “.

Rossler also said that in addition to the criminal investigation, he has initiated an administrative investigation and the officer’s use of force will be subject to an independent review by the Fairfax County Police Auditor.
